Big Bass Make Move to Shallow Water
Largemouth bass are beginning to move into shallow water to spawn, and as a result, fishermen at several reservoirs have been catching more and bigger fish.
Vail Lake in Riverside County has been one of the best locations, as proven by San Gabriel’s Raul Regalado, who caught a 12-pound 1-ounce largemouth. Mike Whittaker of Westminster landed a 9-pound 12-ounce bass, and several other catches were reported in the 10-pound range.
