Chilly winds and sunny skies marked the National Cherry Blossom Festival parade Saturday as 150,000 spectators lined Constitution Avenue to watch clowns, marching bands and a human pyramid on roller skates cross the nation’s capital.

Washington’s pink and white cherry blossoms made their 1988 debut last week, but fell away from their low boughs around the Tidal Basin and other parks around the capital before their official send-off at Saturday’s festivities.
