Dale Earnhardt continued his mastery of Bristol International Raceway, surviving an early crash to win the Budweiser 200 Grand National stock car race at Bristol, Tenn.

Earnhardt, who has won the last two Winston Cup races at the .533-mile track and starts fourth in today’s Valleydale 500, took the lead for good on lap 158.

Earnhardt, who started eighth, had taken the lead on lap 69 but quickly fell back to 10th on the next lap when Billy Standridge’s Pontiac hit the wall coming out of the second turn and tapped Earnhardt’s Chevrolet on the right rear.
