CALIFORNIA - News from April 14, 1988
David H. Katz has resigned as chairman and chief scientific officer of Quidel, a biotechnology firm, in order to devote full-time effort to his duties as president and chief executive of the Medical Biology Institute, a nonprofit research organization. Both organizations, based in La Jolla, were founded by Katz in 1981. Katz will continue to work closely with Quidel as an independent consultant.
