SDSU Football Team Renews Fullerton Series for ’89 and ’92
San Diego State will renew its football series with Cal State Fullerton in 1989 after a 12-year break, SDSU Athletic Director Fred Miller said Thursday.
The Aztecs will play Fullerton in 1989 and again in 1992. Both games are to be played in San Diego.
The game in 1989 will fill an open spot on the Aztecs’ schedule. The 1992 game will replace Oregon. SDSU has dropped the last two games of a planned six-game series with Oregon that was to conclude in 1992.
Miller also said he has extended a series with Cal State Long Beach by adding home games in 1991 and 1993. The 1991 game fills an opening left by dropping Oregon, and the 1993 game fills an open date.
Also, SDSU will conduct its final scrimmage of the spring tonight at 6 p.m. on the SDSU upper practice field. It is open to the public.
