Turmoil on Wall Street, on the West Bank and within the New York political scene will give news junkies plenty to wonder and worry about on the small screen this weekend.

With financial exchanges around the world plunging dramatically again this week, the condition of the stock market six months after the October crash should make for interesting speculation on ABC’s “Business World” Sunday at 11 a.m. on Channel 7, 10:30 a.m. on Channel 42.

CBS’ “60 Minutes” Sunday at 7 p.m. will ask prominent Israelis for reflections about their nation’s troubled present and uncertain future on the eve of the country’s 40th birthday. The program also will present segments on singer/activist Joan Baez and on the furor over the government’s involvement in the dairy business.

The economy, Israel and the future of the Democratic Party are likely topics when KCET Channel 28 and Cable News Network televise a debate between the three remaining democratic presidential candidates live from Rochester, N.Y., at 2 p.m. today. Jesse Jackson, Gov. Michael Dukakis and Sen. Albert Gore will try to woo voters a few days before Tuesday’s crucial New York primary.

The New York primary is also the focus of “This Week With David Brinkley” Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42. Sen. Gore, Gerald Austin, campaign manager for Jackson, and Mayor Ed Koch of New York are the guests.
