Eric Stoltz steps in to star as the fly’s son (Jeff Goldblum perished in the ’86 remake) and must race against time to solve the puzzle of his father’s telepod and try to unmix his own housefly genes. HALLOWEEN IV (Trancas). Shooting in Salt Lake City. NEW YORK STORIES (Touchstone). Shooting in NYC. Three separate scenarios directed by three accomplished movie directors: Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese and Francis Coppola. Allen pens his own segment, and stars with Mia Farrow and Julie Kavner, with Mayor Ed Koch in a cameo. Scorsese’s episode is written by Richard Price. Coppola scripts his with his daughter, Sofia. PENN & TELLER GET KILLED (Lorimar). Shooting in NYC. P & T, the hippest magicians in the world, go on TV to complain how boring life is and the next thing you know they’re targeted for death by some twisted viewer. Producer/director Arthur Penn. Screenwriters Penn Jillette and Teller.
