Discount booklets with coupons for hotels, sightseeing attractions, museums and restaurants are sometimes available from states and, on occasion, private organizations.

New York is again issuing an expanded version of its “I Love New York Passport To Adventure” booklet. The booklets contain discounts involving 475 statewide hotels and other accommodations, including bed and breakfast inns, restaurants, attractions, car rentals, state parks/recreation areas, and campgrounds. Many of the coupons, which also cover New York City, offer two admissions for the price of one.

Your free kit of material will also include an events and tours guide with suggested itineraries by car, a New York state travel guide with listings over the state, and a state map.

A “Share the Common Wealth Cultural Coupon Book” is available from Massachusetts. This booklet offers two-for-one and other discounts at many of the state’s museums, historic attractions, nature and science centers, and performing arts organizations.

If driving around Florida is in your travel plans this year, you can get a complimentary “Florida Traveler Discount Guide.” This booklet contains discount coupons for motels, restaurants, campgrounds, sightseeing attractions and shopping malls/factory outlets. Among the attractions offering discounts are Sea World, Marineland, Busch Gardens and Cypress Gardens.

There are also maps and mileage charts between various points and exit-by-exit information covering four major highways: Interstates 10, 95, 75 and 4.
