Six members of the Sundowners motorcycle gang were arrested and a variety of narcotics and weapons seized early Sunday in a raid on the club’s San Fernando headquarters, authorities said.

Armed with a search warrant, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies, assisted by Los Angeles and San Fernando police officers, plus state and federal agents, descended on an abandoned commercial building at 701 Kalisher St. shortly after 1 a.m.

They confiscated five handguns, one shotgun, one pound of methamphetamines, several thousand amphetamine tablets and a small amount of cocaine, Sheriff’s Sgt. Bryan Williams said.

The six gang members, all from the San Fernando Valley, were arrested following a six-month investigation by law enforcement agencies, Williams said. The investigation, headed by the Sheriff’s Department motorcycle gang detail, is continuing, he said.

Dale Pennell, 34, and Allen Klein, 42, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance. Marcus Morgan, 33, and Wayne Stark, 40, were arrested on suspicion of perjury for allegedly forging California Department of Motor Vehicle documents. Michael Neill, 34, and Salvador Termini, 38, were arrested for outstanding traffic warrants.

The six were in custody at the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station jail.

The Sundowners motorcycle gang has existed in the city of San Fernando for at least 15 years and rarely has caused problems, San Fernando police Sgt. Michael Harvey said.
