Theus’ 33 Points Lead Way for Kings as Clippers Lose 6th Straight on Road
Reggie Theus scored 33 points Tuesday night, leading Sacramento to a 120-105 victory over the Clippers and snapping the Kings’ four-game losing streak.
Otis Thorpe added 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Harold Pressley 17 points for Sacramento.
Eric White scored a career-high 20 points for the Clippers, who dropped their sixth straight road game. Mike Woodson added 19 points. Michael Cage had 17 points, 19 rebounds and 7 steals for Los Angeles.
Sacramento’s biggest lead of the game--104-85--came with 7:04 left to play.
The Kings built a 91-76 lead with 36 seconds remaining in the third quarter with a 10-0 run over a 2-minute span. Conner Henry had a pair of three-point baskets during the spurt.
Los Angeles trailed, 20-10, with 6:09 left in the first quarter before an 11-0 run gave the Clippers a 21-20 advantage with 1:54 remaining in the period.
