An explosion in a grain elevator destroyed an entire riverside storage complex today, killing at least two people and injuring at least three others, authorities said.

Three more people were reported missing at the ADM Growmark facility, said a spokeswoman for the county emergency services agency. Rescue workers used bulldozers and a crane at the explosion site to move grain and debris out of the way in their search for more bodies. A tractor trailer was buried in the blast and windows in homes east of the grain elevator were broken by the 10:54 a.m. explosion. Authorities speculated that the blast may have been caused by grain dust.
