The Boys Club of Laguna Beach will buy a sixth computer, software and additional reference material with an $8,500 grant received recently from the Los Angeles Times Fund, according to Gregg Williams, director of the club’s computer center.
He said the five existing computers are used daily, and “there is always a need for new software.”
The club, at 1085 Laguna Canyon Road, has a variety of activities for boys and girls age 6 to 18 and is open to all youths in the Laguna Beach area for an annual membership fee of $10.
The club offers programs including arts and crafts, use of a gymnasium and a variety of educational activities.
