Building Design Earns It Height

Share

The first building in Pasadena to receive a height extension under the city’s special design bonus code has been completed at Corson Street and Raymond Avenue.

The city allowed the 4-story office building to exceed the area’s 56-foot height restriction because of its distinctive design, according to Los Angeles-based Langdon Wilson Mumper Architects. The brick, limestone and glass building is across the street from the medieval-styled St. Andrew’s Church and complements traditional designs in the neighborhood.

The 90,000-square-foot structure was developed by the Operating Engineers Pension Trust Fund, which will use the first floor as its headquarters. The remaining three floors will be used as the administrative headquarters of Community Bank.
