The girls in Western were visited Sunday by former Angels baseball player Rod Carew. Pediatrics head Debbie Simpson said Carew “left them pictures and baseballs and all that good stuff.”

The girls were warming up for a softball game in the Tustin Bobby Sox League, a 31-team organization for girls ages 5-15 in Tustin, Orange and Santa Ana.
