Terrorist
The article in The Times (Part I, April 16) was frightening--a probable member of an international terrorist organization, the Japanese Red Army, caught red-handed with explosive bomb materials in his car, loitering at a rest station in Ridgefield, N.J.
To me the important point of this story is that the arrest occurred at 7 a.m. only because a solitary policeman was suspicious and laid his life on the line to investigate and make the arrest. He easily might have looked the other way with the consequences then becoming front-page news. We should respect, be grateful, and thank God for that “thin blue line!”
