Strike Talk

Share

I’m reeling from a double stun!

I’ve learned that network television shows are not only written by human beings, but that these same people actually call themselves “writers” and are actually striking for more money. This stretches my credulity to a painful length.

Sterile, cliched characters that walk robotically through scenes between commercials; insipid touchy-feelie night-time soaps and message movies; and worst of all, juvenile jokes that only canned-laughter sweetening machines find amusing are not my idea of a product that warrants a raise.

Thank goodness for independent channels and improving cable that siphons viewers away from network pap and their self-perpetuating mediocrity.
