Technology Corridor Assn. Makes Awards for Projects

A car wash, a hospital and the master plan for expanding the Motion Picture and Television Country Home and Hospital in Woodland Hills were among the projects honored at last week’s Technology Corridor Assn. design awards luncheon at the Warner Center Marriott Hotel.

The Janss Mall Car Wash by Galley Enterprises Inc. in Thousand Oaks, designed by Kurt Meyer Partners, was one of two winners in the commercial/retail category. The other was the Sage Mitsubishi auto dealership in Calabasas, designed for Sage Holding Co. by Mat West Co.

Winning in the multifamily residential category was Warner Center Apartments in Woodland Hills, by CoastFed Properties, designed by Michael F. Ishikawa.

The winning office building was the Arthur D. Little Building in Warner Center, Woodland Hills, developed by Spound Corp. and designed by the Nadel Partnership.

The winning business park was the Malibu Canyon Business Park by the Johnston Group, designed by Jerry Leonardi & Associates. The winner in the landmark building category was the Kaiser Woodland Hills Medical Center by Kaiser Permanente, designed by Langdon Wilson Mumper Architects.

Two master plans were cited by the group: The second phase of the Thousand Oaks Financial Plaza by Wallace Moir Co., designed by Barasch Architects, and the master plan for the expansion of the Motion Picture and Television Country Home and Hospital by the Motion Picture and Television Fund, designed by Bobrow/Thomas & Associates.
