Pasadena : 39 Drug Buyers Arrested
Police have arrested 39 drug buyers in two “reverse sting” operations over the last two weeks.
In a typical drug arrest, police officers target drug dealers, but in this case officers posed as sellers to arrest drug buyers.
The two operations were the first reverse stings conducted by the department. In the first operation April 20, four drug buyers were arrested at a Pasadena motel on Lincoln Avenue.
The second operation, on April 30 in front of an apartment complex on Summit Avenue, resulted in the arrest of 35 buyers.
Police say they plan to conduct reverse stings on a regular basis.
