‘Zooman’ Director Wants Off Credits

Share

Patrick Fennell, who was the original director of the Orange County Black Actors Theatre production of “Zooman and the Sign,” has requested that his name be dropped from program credits.

Fennell, theater arts chairman at Saddleback College and a veteran of Los Angeles Equity Waiver groups, said he quit the production two weeks ago because of “creative differences” with Adleane Hunter, the company’s chief executive. But when the play opened its preview run April 29 at Brea’s Curtis Theatre, Fennell and Hunter were listed as co-directors.

Hunter said all references to Fennell as director will be dropped at his request. Neither would elaborate on what the “creative differences” were.
