The United Auto Workers’ UAW-Chrysler council approved a new 28-month labor agreement establishing full parity among workers at the nation’s Big Three auto makers for the first time in nearly a decade. The 190-member council met for nearly six hours in Dearborn, Mich., before approving the pact on a voice vote. The agreement, reached late Wednesday after 2 1/2 weeks of bargaining, now must be ratified by Chrysler’s approximately 66,000 workers in a vote next Wednesday.
