Two teen-age brothers pleaded innocent Friday to charges they gunned down two 15-year-old students in a drive-by shooting as the victims were walking home from junior high school.

The brothers, ages 13 and 16, entered their pleas at a Juvenile Court arraignment to two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, all felonies.

The 13-year-old also denied a felony charge of shooting from a motor vehicle in the incident, which occurred Wednesday. The older suspect additionally denied a felony charge of permitting another person to shoot from a vehicle and a misdemeanor charge of permitting a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
