Getting Close to the Soviets in This Country and Theirs

Share

There should be a law to prevent such private foundations as Beyond War, the Kettering Foundation and the National Issues Forum from giving Soviets the opportunity to bird-dog Americans on their own soil. Do people really believe the gibberish expounded by high-ranking Soviets?

Are we that vulnerable? The Soviet regime is the harshest in the world. The individual’s opinions do not count. Don’t tell us that suddenly perestroika will give people human rights. Only the gullible will believe that.

I don’t want to be pals with the Soviets, I don’t want them on my soil, and I don’t want them to understand me. What I do want is for them to stay as far away from this country as they can. We are people of opposite philosophies and these can never unite us.

I find it personally insulting to have the crafty, clever Soviets in the States, let alone Orange County. If they ever empty the gulags of political prisoners, maybe then we might have something to talk about.
