Jerry Reuss earned his 200th major league victory Monday night, pitching the Chicago White Sox to a 3-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Dan Pasqua drove in three runs with a sacrifice fly and a home run, enabling the 38-year-old Reuss to become the 86th 200-game winner.

The former Dodger and Angel joined Milt Pappas as the only pitchers to win 200 without a 20-win season.

“I thought about it (winning his 200th game) a lot this winter,” Reuss said. “I didn’t know if I’d get the opportunity. There’s not a lot of demand for old guys who’ve had arm operations and are coming off not a very good season.”

Reuss (2-1) allowed 4 hits in 7 innings. Bobby Thigpen pitched 1 hitless innings, striking out 3, for his sixth save.
