Share

The Palos Verdes Estates City Council Tuesday approved a $262,915 operating budget for the Palos Verdes Stables for fiscal year 1988-89.

The stable, which relies exclusively on the revenue it generates from boarding horses and offering riding lessons and trail rides, is owned and operated by the city.

The council also approved rate increases for all stable programs. As of July 1, rates to board horses will increase by $10 a month and the cost of trail rides will be increased by $2 to $5, depending on the length of the ride and whether the rider is a city resident. The cost of some riding lessons will go up as well.
