Shoppers High on Skylights
When people visualize their “dream house,” many see a skylight in the picture, a magazine survey shows.
A national poll of 2,700 house shoppers conducted by Builder, a construction journal, shows that skylights are among the most popular features sought by consumers. Fireplaces, upgraded carpeting, hardwood floors, bay windows and French doors are also popular.
“Singles and higher-income buyers expect skylights and vaulted ceilings,” the magazine said. “Natural light in the master bath appeals across the board.”
