Coleco Industries reported a loss of $47.4 million for the first quarter, compared to a loss of $8.9 million for the same quarter last year. The West Hartford., Conn.-based toy maker said the results reflect severe financial constraints experienced throughout the period. The firm also said it is seeking interim funding from its lenders and announced plans to sell several product lines.
