Steve Cook took advantage of three splits by Rod Pasteur for a 193-175 victory to win the $150,000 Professional Bowlers Assn. A&W; tournament at Phoenix.
Cook, who earned a $27,000 check for his 13th PBA Tour victory, wrapped up the win in the final frame after Pasteur left a 4-6-7-8-10 split when he could have won with a strike or forced a playoff with a 9-count.
Cook won his last title in Austin, Tex., in 1986, also against Pasteur.
