West County : CHP Plans Checkpoint to Curb Drunk Drivers

The Westminster office of the California Highway Patrol will set up an Orange County checkpoint to find drunk drivers during the Memorial Day weekend, a spokeswoman said Friday.
“We’d like to reduce the number of tragedies on this holiday weekend,” public affairs officer Leslie Hill said.
The CHP does not release the specific time and place of such drunk-driving checkpoints in advance. However, Hill said, the checkpoint will be in the Sunset Beach area on one of the three days this weekend.
