Integra Wins Hawthorne Handicap for Her Third Consecutive Victory

Integra took command early in the stretch and went on to win her third consecutive race Saturday, a 3-length victory in the $99,900 Hawthorne Handicap at Hollywood Park.

Gary Stevens rode the even-money favorite before a crowd of 24,364.

Integra carried 120 pounds in the 1-mile race for 3-year-old fillies and mares and was clocked in 1:36.

Invited Guest, ridden by Bill Shoemaker, finished second, with Behind the Scenes another 3 1/2 lengths behind.

Integra paid $4, $2.40 and $2.10. Invited Guest returned $2.60 and $2.10, and Behind The Scenes paid $2.10.

Behind The Scenes took the lead out of the gate, Gayane moved in front, then Invited Guest led briefly before Integra made her stretch run.

Integra, a 4-year-old daughter of Torsion, recently won the Santa Lucia Handicap and the A Gleam Handicap, with Behind The Scenes second in both those races.
