John R. Sullivan Jr. has been appointed to the new position of chief financial officer of Modern Materials, a Santa Ana-based wholesale distributor of building materials. Before joining Modern, Sullivan had been audit manager at the accounting firm of Main Hurdman, corporate controller at RB Furniture and corporate controller of Krause’s Sofa Factory.
