Eve Poulson Purvis; Co-Founder of NOW
Eve Poulson Purvis, 69, a co-founder of the National Organization for Women and a former member of the Women’s Commission on Civil Rights. Junior Bridge, spokeswoman for NOW in Washington, said Purvis was among 28 women who founded the women’s rights organization in 1959854126Friedan, author of “The Feminine Mystique,” and Katheryn Clarenbach. In addition to co-founding NOW, Purvis also co-founded the Consumer Federation of America and the Consumers Assn. of Indiana. Sunday in Indianapolis.
