A contract between Firestone Inc. and the United Rubber Workers union won ratification when workers at two plants overwhelmingly endorsed the pact, a union spokesman said. Ninety-five percent of the members of Local 7 in Akron and 90% of the members of Local 138 in Noblesville, Ind. voted in favor of the contract, union spokesman Curt Brown said. The locals were the last to vote on the pact and the results assures ratification of the contract, which affects a majority of the 4,700 members that it covers, Brown said.
