Bruce Willis had his appendix removed during emergency surgery after being rushed to a hospital Saturday, his publicist, Paul Bloch, confirmed Monday. Willis, 33, was resting comfortably and was expected to be sent home from the hospital shortly. Bloch said the actor was taken to the hospital (which he declined to name) after experiencing pain Saturday evening. Appendicitis was diagnosed and the surgery performed late that night. Willis was advised by doctors to recuperate at home for at least 10 days before beginning promotional activities for his upcoming movie, ‘Die Hard.”
