University of Illinois police interviewed athletic department employees about allegations that they were required to do personal work for Athletic Director Neale Stoner and other top athletic officials.
Moore and university police investigator Krystal Fitzpatrick were questioning maintenance employees in Champaign, Ill., about published allegations that some of them did work in the homes and on the automobiles of Stoner and his top aides.
Stoner issued a statement Tuesday saying there were “a handful of separate occasions when maintenance personnel have assisted me and my family.”
Associate Director Vance Redfern issued a statement saying that the allegations were true.
