Woman of the Year Award in 63rd District
Cecy R. Groom has been named 1988 Woman of the Year by 63rd District Assemblyman Wayne Grisham (R-Norwalk). Groom is president of Management Resources, a personnel management and automated payroll company. She also is president of Cecy Groom and Associates, an accounting firm. Both businesses are in Cerritos. Groom also owns an El Pollo Loco fast-food chicken franchise in East Los Angeles.
Groom was elected to the ABC Unified School District board in November. She and her three children live in Cerritos. Every year a woman is selected by legislators in each of the state’s 120 legislative districts. The selection is based on several categories, including community involvement and professional achievement.
