No Sympathy for ‘Unwed Father’

During the course of an interview, Robert and Pamela Moses accuse Edward McNamara of cruelty. They also charge that principle is the only factor that guides his motives. Both parties also blame the San Diego Department of Social Services. This is an unfair shifting of blame.

The Moseses ignored their moral obligation when they tossed aside McNamara’s desire to raise his child in light of their own desires to have a second child. The Department of Social Services only ineptly aided the Moseses in their misguided goal.

The fact remains, the Moseses wanted an infant and clung to the system that would give them one. Now, they cling to their interpretation of a child’s rights principle.
