A Sacramento trucker has been arrested for investigation of murdering a teen-age runaway from Iowa and dumping her body in southern Tulare County, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department reported. Marvin Richard Gregory, 31, was booked in county jail for the shooting death of Angela Tullis, 16, of Marshalltown, Iowa. The body of Tullis was found May 25 alongside a rural road about one-quarter mile north of County Line Road. The girl was last seen alive at a truck stop near Des Moines, the sheriff’s office said. Sheriff’s detectives traveled to Des Moines and Marshalltown and then arrested Gregory in Sacramento. Detectives said they think Gregory picked up the victim in Des Moines, shot her on May 20 in Springfield, Mo., and then dumped her in Tulare County on a return trip to Sacramento. Sheriff’s detectives said Tullis ran away from a juvenile facility in Iowa on March 2, 1988.
