The owner of an Anaheim carpet-cleaning business won $100,000 in the California Lottery’s “Big Spin” on Saturday.

“I ain’t gonna gamble no more,” vowed Lanny Whitcomb, 31, on Sunday. He said he expects to receive his winnings Wednesday--$80,000 after taxes are withheld.

“In my gambling career I think I probably lost all that $80,000 already,” he said.

Whitcomb, who lives in Anaheim, said he plans to buy a Chevrolet truck with part of his winnings. He said he’ll deposit the rest in a savings account.

“I like looking at big interest checks,” he said.

Whitcomb said he bought his ticket at a 7-Eleven store in Fullerton.

Whitcomb won the third-largest amount in Saturday’s “Big Spin,” during which a total of $3.44 million was awarded, according to John Schade, a spokesman for the Lottery.

Richard Secrest, a Sacramento Valley farmer, won $2 million.

William O’Gorman, a 66-year-old Santa Clara man, won $1 million.
