McLaren teammates Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna posted the top times in the first qualifying session for the French Grand Prix Sunday. Prost was fastest around the 2.4-mile track in his turbo-powered McLaren, running his best lap in 1 minute 8.171 seconds, at an average speed of 125.113 m.p.h. Senna, a Brazilian, was second fastest in 1:08.456.
