Calendar recently printed a letter complaining about the lack of good Italian bread in Los Angeles (Calendar Letters, June 19).

I would like to invite the writer of that letter to sample the homemade Italian bread at Guido’s in West Los Angeles.

As the new chef there, one of the first innovations I oversaw was the addition of bread made in our restaurant kitchen--hot, crusty and tutto Italian.
