Can’t wait for the next Guns ‘N Roses album? Don’t worry--Geffen Records is putting something together to tide you over. Back when the glam-rockers were lucky to get a gig at Rajis, they put out a live EP, “Live Like a Suicide,” which featured early G ‘N R originals like “Move to the City” and ‘banger-covers like “Mama Kin.” The original EP quickly disappeared--only 25,000 copies were pressed. But later this year, Geffen Records will release a “fans” album, featuring the EP cuts and a batch of newly recorded acoustic originals, including “One in a Million,” “Patience” and a comic country confessional, “I Used to Love Her (But I Had to Kill Her).” The album title says it all: “The Sex . . . the Drugs . . . the Violence . . . the Shocking Truth.” The jacket will feature a collage of all your favorite “Martians Ate My Baby” National Enquirer-style headlines. And if you can’t even wait for “The Sex . . .” album, check out the trailer for “The Dead Pool” (the latest Dirty Harry sequel), which is cut to the band’s “Welcome to the Jungle,” which is prominently featured in the film as well. We predict it’s only a matter of time before G ‘N R leader Axl (“It’s like I have multiple personalities”) Rose gets a shot co-starring as a psycho-killer if they ever make another Dirty Harry film.
