THE OUTDOORS : Striped Bass Are Biting at Pyramid

Share

While anglers at most reservoirs have shifted their attention to catfish, those at Los Angeles County’s Pyramid Lake have found that the striped bass fishing has vastly improved in recent weeks.

The fish have been bigger--averaging between 8-10 pounds--and more numerous, according to a spokesperson at the lake. Lebec resident Lester Carpenter, fishing near the marina, recently caught a 15-pounder, and Scott Mueller of Frazier Park landed 6 stripers weighing up to 18 pounds.
