Music Merci Wins Hollypark Feature

Music Merci, ridden by Aaron Gryder, took the lead early in the stretch and just lasted to win the $33,000 feature race by a nose Wednesday at Hollywood Park.
Bruho, ridden by Chris McCarron, finished second, 7 lengths in front of Mountain Ghost, with Alex Solis aboard, in a field of six 2-year-olds.
Music Merci covered 6 furlongs over a fast track in 1:10 and earned $18,150.
The favorite of the crowd of 17,515, Music Merci paid $3.60, $2.80 and $2.20. Bruho returned $4.40 and $2.40, while Mountain Ghost paid $2.20 to show.
Bruho, never far back, gained in the final sixteenth and just missed. Mountain Ghost weakened in the drive after setting the early pace.
