The owner of Jack-in-the-Box restaurants has purchased six Wendy’s restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley and southeast Los Angeles County for about $3 million. San Diego-based Foodmaker Inc. bought the restaurants, which will be converted to Jack-in-the Box outlets, from Western Hospitality International, a Wendy’s franchisee that filed for bankruptcy protection last year. Foodmaker purchased restaurants in Diamond Bar, Azusa, Santa Fe Springs, Covina, City of Industry and Whittier. Earlier this year, Foodmaker purchased 13 Wendy’s restaurants in Hawaii.
