Sun Co. has named Robert P. Hauptfuhrer chairman and chief executive of a newly independent Sun Exploration and Production Co. The new company is part of a major restructuring of Sun and will be headquartered in Dallas. Hauptfuhrer previously was president and chief operating officer of Sun Co. James McCormick, who now heads Sun’s exploration and production operations, will be president and chief operating officer of Sun Exploration and Production Co.
