Spies Like Them

Sally Kellerman’s taking her Natasha spy role very seriously for “Boris and Natasha,” the feature film spinoff using the Russkie spies from the vintage “Rocky and Bullwinkle” cartoons. So much so, we’re told, that she had the Museum of Broadcasting in NYC run six hours of the show for her. And she invited the voice of Natasha, June Foray, to her home.

“We carried on a regular conversation, so she could get the tone and sound just right,” said Foray. The hardest part: “She was saying, ‘Boris, dar -link.’ I kept saying, ‘No, it’s Boris, doll- link.’ ”

Both Kellerman and Dave Thomas, who plays Boris, will get dark dye jobs for their roles, but Thomas isn’t as worried about elocution: “I don’t really talk that much. Basically I run around frantically--it’s a character in total chaos. Mostly he just grunts. . . .”

“B&N;” is scheduled for August shooting.
