The United States deserves something better from the highest legal officer in the land than a buffoon whose proudest boast is now “I beat the rap.”
Why is it that the Republican Party, which presents itself as the “law-and-order” party, constantly produces people like Richard (“I am not a crook”) Nixon, John (“Martha doesn’t know what she’s talking about”) Mitchell, Ed (“I didn’t get indicted”) Meese, and Ronald (“I don’t remember”) Reagan?
