Center Fred Quillan, acquired by the San Diego Chargers in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers last month, retired after spending less than a week at the Chargers’ training camp. Quillan, 32, played 10 years for the 49ers, appearing in two Super Bowls and two Pro Bowls.
