Burger King Continues Shift of Top Officers

Burger King Corp. has continued to shuffle its top management in an effort to boost the performance of the ailing fast-food chain.

The Miami-based firm, a subsidiary of food giant Pillsbury Co., said C. Ronald Petty, 44, formerly president of the chain’s international operations, has been promoted to president of Burger King U.S.A.

Petty replaced Charles S. Olcott, who two weeks ago was promoted to a new position as president and chief operating officer of Burger King. That position was created after the chairman of Pillsbury’s restaurant division, J. Jeffrey Campbell, resigned.

Petty’s former job will be filled by Richard Snead, 36, who was formerly executive vice president for the company’s North Central Division. Kevin Moriarty, 40, vice president and general manager for Burger King’s Chicago regional stores, will in turn replace Snead.
