Local News in Brief : Dead Girl Identified
Police on Monday identified the body of a 16-year-old girl found partially clad in a shallow grave in the Hollywood Hills.
The victim, Suzanne Thomas, was found Friday afternoon by a hiker in a wilderness area south of the 6700 block of Forest Lawn Drive, about a mile west of the cemetery, Detective Bob Rozzi said.
Thomas, a high school dropout who lived with her family in Pacoima, had been stabbed to death and left in the shallow grave for at least a couple of days before she was found, Rozzi said.
The motive for the slaying was unknown.
